$210k over 3 years. To expand access to local food through increased participation in the Healthy Incentives Program, stronger awareness of the benefits of eating locally to both consumers and farmers, and the creation of a new community kitchen.

$135k over 3 years.  To train young people in leadership and technical skills to support community gardens that increase fresh food access and implement climate resilience projects that improve air quality and reduce heat in their communities.

$225k over 3 years.  To engage and educate young people in after school programs focused on civic literacy to empower them and their families to become more civically engaged.

YWCA of Southeastern, MA


$210k over 3 years.  To train parent leaders in civic literacy and support them to initiate and sustain Parent Teacher Organizations and School Councils in New Bedford public schools. 

Elect Southcoast


$225k over 3 years.  To support their community empowerment and neighborhood revitalization efforts in the North End, including the completion of the Resilience Hub, and on-going safe housing and improved public transportation advocacy and organizing campaigns. 

Community Economic Development Center of Southeastern Massachusett


$125k over 3 years. To support the leadership development, organizing capacity and civic participation of young people around issues of most importance to them.  

Mujeres Victoriosas


$450k over 3 years.  To increase the membership of the Bus Riders Union, train more organizers, expand the organizing beyond bus riders to include the MBTA commuter rail, and support state wide advocacy for better public transit especially in Gateway Cities.
